Withdrawing for courses before financial aid is awarded?
Author: admin | Category: Staging CoursesI am not going to be able to go to school this semester. I was wondering, since I dropped all of my classes already, I shouldn’t be awarded financial aid, correct? It is in the processing stages but I haven’t been awarded it yet. So, if I don’t get it, I shouldn’t have any fees to pay back should I?
Usually, when you withdraw from a course BEFORE the deadline, you don’t have to pay the loan money back. Therefore, since you’ve dropped all classes before deadlines, I think they’ll realize that and just not give you the loan. However, I’m NOT sure so you’re best way of knowing for sure is to contact your financial aid office or the people your loan was getting processed through. Sorry I couldn’t help much, but good luck!!

If you are awarded Federal money and do not attend the semester in which you were awarded, they will expect the money returned immediately.
