YouTube allows an upload to be used as a video comment on just a SINGLE posting. So please search YouTube for “Introduction to Teaching 101.mpeg”. Don’t know how much of my taxes are going to study public education, but Washington could save a LOT on consultant fees by just reading the responses to my above upload from hard pressed teachers from around the country. Teachers KNOW what is wrong with American education – career and politically motivated administrators do not.

Maybe look at furniture websites for ideas. Go to http://www.stickleyaudi.com and click on the Room Planner. You’ll get a really fun room planner that you and your daughter can use together to figure out where everything goes. She can even use it to figure out where she wants things in her room. If you are keeping the blue carpet, you need to mimic that blue in some of the small decorative touches…pillows, wall hangings, vases, etc. To add other colors, get a color wheel…the colors that are adjacent to it match, and the colors opposite of it on the color wheel are coordinating for contrast purposes. Stick with 3 or less colors for accent or else the room will look too busy. Use some nice neutrals for the big furniture pieces, and bright colors for accent. Look at hgtv.com for some great ideas.

you could paint the wall a lime or apple green and get a leather sofa and frame some black and white posters in black frames, I have a picture of the green that I’m talking about, it was used in a bedroom but it would look nice in a living room as well and compliment the blue carpet

Family room decorating ideas?
I’m moving to a new home, and interested on decorating the living or family room. I mean, is where the TV is. Ayway, it has a blue navy carpet, and it’s white. I don’t want (and need) big sofas or furnish, since it’s a small family room.

I’m looking for something more "informal." and colorful like green, something like "sour" colors (?) Any idea, website, stuff to put, sit, lighting, etc? Something nice.

By the way, I’m a 32 years old man, single parent with a 12 years old daughter. I want something informal but according to our ages.
