Posted By: admin  //  Category: Staging a House

Yes, size would be a full-sized house but how do i make it stand?

You don’t say how big. Full size would be set, rather than prop. Dolls house size, you could make out of cardboard boxes.

How long do you study for a university exam?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: Staging Courses

And do you do it AFTER the course is done or during the end stages of the course?

Also, when do you write the research paper? During the course, or when you have time to dedicate totally to it 100%?

Write the research paper during the course. Study for the exam during the end stages of the course, and devote about 8 hours per semester hour of the course.

Hey does anyone know if you can build a house in stages in NC instead of building it at one time?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: Staging a House

I have a piece of land in NC but want to build my home over a time period in stages until its complete

Your home definitely can be built in stages. But, should be done so that you don’t leave the building at risk to the elements or people. Get a panelized home package such as Eagles Nest. That way you can quickly (in 5 or 6 days) complete the exterior roof and walls on a foundation. That’s called "dryed in." That way you are protected from the elements and people who like to steal building materials. Store everything inside. Then take all the time you need doing the interior walls, HVAC, etc. in stages. That will cost you less and if you do it right you will finance the project in such a way that you will actually gain a subtantial amount of money (from what is called instant equity), to build out the home or upgrade it.

When decorating your home do you have to have the same color scheme throughout?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: Home Decorating

I am decorating my home and I have done each bedroom in different colors and I just wanted to know if that is a sign of a bad decorator?

It depends on whether or not the bedrooms have direct exposure to other community rooms in the house. If they are on another level, that’s fine – but if they are off a hallway that leads to a family room and each one is completely different then I would keep the doors shut when company is coming.

I tend to do color charts for people who are redecorating their homes or making big changes. Get several paint chips from the store – pick out your favorites that will be throughout the main parts of the home. Then pick a other complimentary colors that work well with the main color. That way your home doesn’t look chopped up – it flows. There are many shades of each color – it’s pretty easy to find a green (for example) that goes with your other main color. Olive might work well with one palate while forest might look good with another.

Staging Your Home for Autumn and Halloween

Posted By: admin  //  Category: Home Decorating

Your efforts to sell your home this fall season can be aided by some simple decorating that reflects autumn and/or the popular holiday of Halloween. Some effective touches can not only ’round out’ your staging; they can also encourage potential buyers to imagine decorating the home themselves by creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The first rule of Halloween decorating is: don’t go overboard! You’re staging your home, not throwing a Halloween party. No skeletons, NO fake blood and nothing that is meant to jump out and startle people! You want people to enjoy their tour of your home; not have a heart attack when the fake bat drops onto their head.

A fall staging theme can be as simple as warm fall colors being featured in the decor. Or, it can be tastefully elaborate, with some kind of decoration in every room that ‘ties’ the rooms together.

In homage to the holiday, you can use pumpkins and the small pumpkin-like gourds to accent your porch, tables and mantelpieces. Pumpkins are definitely an attention getter, both in terms of size and color. Use them wisely.

If you decide to carve your pumpkins, make sure that they are carved in harmless, “happy” expressions, if they have faces. One idea is to use your jack-o-lanterns to highlight the numbers of your address. Or, you could carve a tiny house into one.

If you do decide to go the jack-o-lantern route, use candle substitutes. The last thing you want is to find the perfect buyer, only to have your home burn to the ground because a candle fell over. Flameless flickering lights are available cheaply from local stores, especially around Halloween.

Flowers and plants are popular with home stagers and you can make them work for you. Chrysanthemums and dried leaves are good fall choices for the home stager. A vase of these in a room can provide some attractive natural color that calls to mind the crisp warmth of fall. Planting hardy fall flowers like mums can also add some color to an otherwise fading garden.

One idea for home showing is have business cards printed up with a picture of your home and contact information. Tie these to Halloween candy bags and put them in a fall/Halloween themed bowl for prospective buyers.

Halloween and fall provide you with a great decorating scheme to bring your house together with warm, inviting colors and decorations that reflect the fall harvest/Halloween season. This can help prospective buyers imagine decorating your home for their seasonal celebrations and encourage them to think of your home as their own.

Which musician should I be on stage?

Posted By: admin  //  Category: Staging Courses

Let’s say I knew how to play guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums. And I had entire original songs recorded, to be played back while I performed with a single instrument on stage. Of course I’d be singing at the same time too.

Which instrument should I play? And why?

This is all hypothetical of course. ; )

Really it should be what you do best in. But uhh, generally speaking, it’s hard to drum and sing at the same time, which is why you don’t see any Drum Singers around. Bass is hard to play and sing at the same time, as some bass licks can get rather complex. You can do rhythm guitar. Lead guitar is doable, but like bass it can get hard. Key Board is good too, but it’s visually not as cool nowadays. It worked for something corporate and panic, so yea. there you go.
